Oscar Bonilla
Oscar is a professor of management at Baruch College – Zicklin School of Business at the City University of New York and a professor of finance at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá – Colombia. His intellectual work has been published in international engineering management and systems engineering journals.
In 2015, he founded Elite One Capital, LLC, an investment management company in New York City. There he directs portfolio management, risk and research activities. Subsequently, in 2016, he founded the New Horizon Organization, a non-profit foundation dedicated to educating and supporting patients with cancer and other terminal diseases. In 2017 he founded Elite One Trading with the purpose of training and educating people facing the wide and complex world of the stock market.
Before founding the Elite One group, Dr. Bonilla served as a consultant and financial analyst for global financial management, infrastructure and insurance institutions, gaining dedicated experience in asset, investment, risk and portfolio management. Oscar has more than ten years of experience managing private capital and investing in the New York Stock Exchange, and as a university professor at different universities and business schools in the United States and Colombia. He also has more than five years of experience teaching other people how to invest and trade professionally.
He received an ME, an MBA, and a PhD in Engineering Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. He received the Academic excellence recognition and membership by the Engineering Management Honor Society and the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering Academic Scholarship for his distinguished professional achievement.
